Online Counselling Australia
Welcome
I offer trauma-informed online counselling for adults across Australia, supporting people on their journey toward greater emotional wellbeing and self-understanding.
My work is for those who feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of their next steps. I provide a warm, non-judgmental space to explore your story, strengthen self-esteem, and move forward with greater clarity, hope, and direction.
About Sarah
Hi, I’m Sarah—an online counsellor passionate about supporting people to reconnect with themselves, heal from past experiences, and step into the life they were created for.
I hold a Bachelor of Communication and a Master of Counselling, and I bring a rich, whole-person perspective to my work. Before becoming a counsellor, I completed comprehensive Pilates training, which shaped my understanding of the mind–body connection, and I spent 10 years working as a children’s pastor, supporting individuals and families through seasons of growth, challenge, and change.
These experiences have deeply informed how I work today. I am especially drawn to exploring identity, core beliefs, and the deeper layers of life that shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. I love walking alongside people as they rediscover hope, purpose, and their own inner strength.
Outside of counselling, I’m someone who finds grounding and clarity in the outdoors. I love photography, spending time in nature, and life with our two border collies and ragdoll cat. Originally from New Zealand, I value depth, reflection, and meaningful connection — qualities that shape both how I live and how I work with others. I’m married and value long-term commitment, growth, and shared journey.

My Approach
In the Counselling Room
My approach to counselling is integrative and trauma-informed, meaning I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies and adapt each session to you as a whole person—your story, values, faith background, and lived experience.
Trauma-Informed
My work is grounded in trauma-informed principles, which means your safety, choice, and pace matter. We move gently and collaboratively, with an understanding of how past experiences can shape thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. You are never pushed beyond what feels manageable.

Depth &
Meaning
I’m passionate about exploring the deeper layers — core beliefs, identity, and the stories we carry about ourselves. Together, we work toward clarity, self-understanding, and a renewed sense of hope and direction.
Integrative
I commonly integrate:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Narrative Therapy
-
Solution-Focused Therapy
-
Person-Centred Therapy
This allows us to gently explore patterns of thinking, behaviour, and belief, while also creating practical tools for change and growth.

Who I Support
I work with adults experiencing stress, overwhelm, low self-esteem, loss of direction, identity questions, relationship breakdown, and the impact of trauma. I also have a special interest in religious trauma and faith-related struggles.
